We now know that being perfect or comparing ourselves to others is not what God expects from us. So how does He expect me to protect my heart against the blows of the enemy on a daily basis?
My mom like to say, Clauds the cross is the gift that keeps on giving. Because, it didn’t just take something from us it really gave us a miraculous gift.
STEP 1 – Open your bible to Genesis 15:6 and read about how Abraham obtained Righteousness.
STEP 2 – Write down in your Prayer Journal in your own words what action did Abraham take?
You see when you accept Jesus as your personal saviour, and you start trusting God’s promises, the penalty of sin is REMOVED and the GIFT of God’s own righteousness is given to you as a gift.
So after you have made the choice, to live within an upright standing with God, He does not see your sin and unrighteousness. You no longer need to exhaust yourself striving for perfection. You are already completely perfect in his eyes.
- PERFECT RIGHTEOUSNESS DISCOURAGES YOU
- COMPARATIVE RIGHTEOUSNESS DECEIVES YOU
- IMPUTED RIGHTEOUSNESS DEFINES YOU AND DECLARES YOUR INNOCENCE BEFORE YOUR ACCUSERS.
Listen to me, the enemy is constantly on the warpath to keep you from realising and utilising your gift. He does not want you to rest in the fact that your sins have been washed away on the cross. He knows if he can keep you away from wearing the breastplate of Righteousness, he can keep you away from your purpose.
Right now, as you are holding your phone and reading this on day 19, no matter what your past or present circumstances entails. YOU can wear the breastplate of righteousness because you have already received it.
Day 19 Mental Health Tip
when wearing the breastplate of righteousness... you don't have to tell people you are righteous, your actions will show.
