Now that the Armour of God is finished, I was asking God, “okay, so what do you want me to talk about this week?” The word FORGIVENESS popped up. BINGO!!! Let us go deeper this week into things that still keep us in bondage. Things / people / past trauma / past events, that can cause so much anxiety in our bodies.
Now if I was your enemy, I would use every opportunity to bring old wounds to mind, as well as the people, events and circumstances that caused them. I’d try to ensure that your heart was hardened with anger and bitterness, shackled through unforgiveness.
Sometimes when your prayers feel hollow and dull and it feels like it is hitting the walls and you are not sure why things are not coming right, you are not sure why you are praying and doing everything 100 percent, but still the breakthrough is not coming. Ask yourself is there any bitterness in your heart?
STEP 1 – Go to the book of 2 Corinthians 2:5
This simple passage is so powerful, I even took out my pen and thought, “is there anyone in my life I need to forgive?” This passage really made me think back into my past. It hit me with a deep inner conviction. Unforgiveness is a strategic design that has been crafted by your enemy to cripple you, to attack your mental state.
The next week we are going to learn how to forgive and I trust God for BIG breakthroughs yet to come during this season.
